The Arab American Family Support Center (AAFSC) opened its doors in 1993 to serve the largely marginalized but ever-increasing Arabic-speaking immigrant community in New York City. Since then, the agency has expanded to become one of the largest Arab American social service organizations in the country and now serve thousands of clients from diverse backgrounds each year. AAFSC provides comprehensive social services to Arabic-speaking immigrant families and children as they adjust to and navigate American laws and cultural norms. AAFSC addresses language barriers, encourages positive leadership and promotes a stronger and more united Arab American community.
AAFSC plays a significant role at KGIA. The on-site School Coordinator ensures that all students and their families have access to all services offered at AAFSC. The School Coordinator also manages the Extended Day program, overseeing all services offered by KGIA's collaborating partner organizations. |
